Play, fun and responsibility
Salomon “plays” in the French Alps since 1947. The passion for outdoor sports, new technologies and craftsmanship has driven and continues to drive the French mountain sports brand. Year after year, Salomon develops advanced equipment with the aim that mountain sports enthusiasts have lots of fun in the great outdoors. In order to make this fun in nature more sustainable, Salomon has committed itself to all “players” to act responsibly: For the players who promote the communities and give them dynamism. For the playmakers who design, develop and manufacture the equipment that makes the fun possible. For the playground, which provides the place for all experiences and which must be preserved and protected. For the toys, that is, the products that Salomon uses to find those moments of joy and self-realization, and which are developed in accordance with the company values.
Recycling management and low CO2 footprint
With 100% of Salomon products, the customer can see the respective environmental performance: 100% of the leading material suppliers sign or otherwise demonstrate their compliance with the material compliance programs and pollutant exclusion lists for the respective category. In addition, 100% of new Salomon products are developed according to one or more principles of recycling management. Salomon uses various tools to measure and continuously improve the footprint of its materials and products. Furthermore, Salomon is a signatory of the “Fashion Industry Charter for Climate Action” of the United Nations (December 2018) and has committed itself to reduce CO2 emissions by 30% by 2030.
