Outdoor influencers share their adventures in nature virtually. Whether it's vast mountain peaks, lonely lakes, or dreamy beaches - the selection of photo motifs is just as diverse as the influencers themselves

Outdoor influencers definitely have a talent for always discovering the best outdoor spots that not everyone knows about (yet). For this, they sometimes accept long hikes, many metres in altitude and an early alarm clock. Today we show you the top 7 outdoor influencers you should know.

1. Daniel Ernst

More than 700,000 followers are now enthusiastic about Daniel’s photos. The photographer from Hessen travels with his campervan “Wilma” (with its own Instagram account: @bulli.wilma) through the wild nature of Norway, Sweden, Finland, Iceland, and the Faroes Islands and captures this with impressive photos in bright colors or from unusual perspectives. In his YouTube videos, he also shares his travel adventures up close.

“With my photography and my stories, I want to inspire people and trigger a desire, a motivation to leave the hustle and bustle behind, escape the routine, get outside, explore and experience nature,” says Daniel.

In the meantime, he has even published a book – a tribute to Europe’s wild north, of course.

Leipzig has over 600,000 Instagram followers who follow her hiking and travel adventures, which she has been sharing on social media since 2014. With her photos, Frauke shows the beauty of nature, which she skilfully captures with impressive images.

3. Marcel Lesch

His Instagram account sounds promising: “Evolumina” – here Marcel shows his ambition to capture the perfect moment in the best possible way with his camera. His great passion for nature has already taken the freelance outdoor and advertising photographer and filmmaker from Bonn around the world. From deserts to ice caves, thundering waterfalls in Iceland and the majestic mountains of the Alps, to the rainforests of the USA or the national parks in New Zealand. The outdoor influencer’s travel portfolio is impressive:

“The reason I chose the path of a freelance photographer is the fact that I can work almost freely. A possible restriction is only due to weather-related changes. However, this challenge is what I love about working in nature. I don’t work in a studio, my environment is not completely controllable, which is why I have to react spontaneously to possible changes,” Marcel says about his great passion.

If you can’t get enough of Marcel’s pictures, you can also hang them on your wall – on his website Marcel sells his great photos as murals.

5. Roman & Valentin

The two Swiss boys Roman and Valentin are not only close friends, they are cousins. Back in 2015, the two outdoor enthusiasts with a great passion for photography started their
project “Twintheworld”. They wanted to communicate the beauty of the Swiss Alps to a larger audience. Due to the rapidly growing social media reach, the small project became a full-time job. In the meantime, the two are working with big brands like Mammut or Nikon and have founded their own “Twintheworld Agency” to help brands build up their social media presence systematically and strategically. Their passion for nature and hiking continues to drive them both out into the mountains.
