Sympatex Launches SAM Campaign

A New Initiative to Promote Consumer Engagement in Children’s Footwear

Munich, Germany – Sympatex Technologies is excited to unveil the SAM campaign, a new initiative designed to engage families both in stores and online, showcasing the sustainability and performance benefits of children’s footwear featuring Sympatex membranes. This vibrant, interactive campaign brings sustainability education to life through engaging illustrations, eye-catching in-store displays, and digital materials that reach families wherever they are.

Bringing Sustainability to the Forefront

The SAM campaign introduces the character SAM, who guides families through the benefits of Sympatex’s eco-friendly membranes, which are 100% recyclable, climate-neutral, and PFAS-free. By delivering these messages in a playful and educational format, the campaign aims to highlight Sympatex’s commitment to the environment while fostering brand awareness among end consumers.

“Too often, as an ingredient brand, we don’t have direct visibility to the end consumer,” explains Francesca Alviani, Marketing Specialist at Sympatex. “The SAM campaign allows us to connect directly with families in-store, making them aware of the sustainability and quality behind the shoes they’re purchasing.”

Supporting Retail Partners with Strategic POS Tools

Developed for brand partners like Ricosta, EUROSKO, SuperFit, Richter, Däumling, and Lurchi, the SAM campaign includes a suite of customizable point-of-sale materials, such as:

  • Posters and shelf displays
  • Specially designed hangtags for children’s shoes
  • Brochures with Sympatex’s sustainability messages and a coloring activity for kids
  • Prisma and DIN displays for enhanced in-store visibility

“We’re thrilled to offer this campaign as a tool for our partners to add value during the back-to-school season and beyond,” says Kim Scholze, Chief Sales Officer at Sympatex. “SAM’s approachable design and the engaging materials will help retailers communicate our sustainability story to parents and kids.”

Creative Collaboration with Renowned Illustrator Bine Penz

The campaign’s visual identity was created by Austrian children’s book illustrator Bine Penz, whose colorful illustrations bring SAM to life and make complex topics like recyclability and sustainability accessible to younger audiences.

Looking Ahead: Inspiring the Next Generation

The SAM campaign represents a key step in Sympatex’s mission to connect directly with consumers, despite being an ingredient brand. By focusing on children’s footwear, Sympatex hopes to inspire the next generation to take an active role in protecting the environment.

“We see this campaign as an opportunity for our partners to connect with families on topics that matter,” Francesca adds. “SAM delivers both high performance and sustainability in a way that resonates deeply with consumers.”
