Berkemann – foot expertise based on passion and tradition

Quality and function are the result of experience and attention to detail. Founded in Hamburg in 1885, Berkemann has been dealing with foot-related problems and solutions for 140 years. Because, like our company founder Heinrich Ad. Berkemann, it is still our daily aspiration to ‘produce the best quality footwear to fit’.

The right shoe for every foot, the right solution for every problem. With our different product and functional lines, we offer a wide range of shoe models. Berkemann offers models that actively promote foot health, those that combine comfort and function, to models that ensure that the feet are specifically relieved or protected in areas subject to heavy strain. Because physical well-being begins with the feet.

The German comfort shoe manufacturer Berkemann is now cooperating with the functional membrane specialists from Sympatex. The first models for men and women will be presented as part of the new autumn/winter 2025 collection. In addition to the waterproof membrane, the bootie models are equipped with Berkemann-typical comfort features.

We produce our comfort shoe models at four of Berkemann’s own production sites in Hungary. From incoming goods and quality control of the basic materials from European suppliers and tanneries to cutting using the latest scanning and cutting technology and further processing to the finished model, everything is in our hands. We endeavour to produce as many production steps and preliminary products as possible in-house through consistent insourcing.
