Venturing beyond the golf course, HELIX is now exploring how performance apparel can meet the needs of hikers, adventurers, and all who love the outdoors. Naturally, we were excited to experience this new direction firsthand — so we packed up a few jackets and headed out for a hike to the beautiful Herzogstand in the Bavarian Alps.

The weather? To be honest: more friendly than fierce. Sunshine, a bit of wind, a few clouds — no storm, no pouring rain. But it’s often on days like these that you really appreciate lightweight, breathable, and functional gear.

Typical for HELIX, the design stood out with clean lines and thoughtful details — from smartly placed pockets to a hood that stayed put even in the light breeze (we’ll have to trust it would in stronger winds too!). For a first step into the outdoor world, it was a strong debut.

At Sympatex, we love seeing how versatility and sustainability come together. The more often a piece of clothing can be worn — across seasons, activities, and environments — the better it is for the planet. True functionality is a key part of building a more responsible textile future.
