Bikewear from Melbourne
“We were born in a city with an unhealthy obsession with sport, style and coffee… “. The founders of the trendy bikebrand Maap from Melbourne, Australia, come from different disciplines: graphic design, fashion, technical apparel design, but are bound by their love of the sport. Maap has been propelling cycling forward since 2014 with the goal to produce world class and sustainable bike apparel, engineered to excel in all conditions, at all levels of the sport. By mastering aesthetic and technical detail Maasp strikes its own precise balance to enhance performance, style, durability and fit in coorperation with factories, teams, and cyclists across the globe.
Sustainable practices define everything Maap is doing – from choosing and processing the product’s raw materials to the manufacturing process and product end life cycle. The ultimate goal is to make 100% of the on-bike apparel from recycled yarns, that every current product on offer is designed to last as long as possible. Maap is striving to seek the highest-performing recycled yarns, and use them alongside suitable materials to stand up to repeated use. Maap therefore relies on the climate neutral, recyclable and 100% PTFE- and PFAs-free Sympatex membrane in many of its models.
