Lagoped

Adventure clothing inspired by nature
What to do if you can’t find functional mountain clothing that is locally produced and at the same time harmless to health and environmentally friendly? Create it yourself! Lagoped was founded in 2017 by three mountain enthusiasts with the mission to bring people back to nature. Lagoped designs outdoor clothing: beautiful, durable, reduced to the essential without being superfluous. The ptarmigan, a frugal mountain bird that the three often encountered during their adventures, became the inspiration and namesake of the French mountain sports brand.
Recycled materials and small stocks
Lagoped uses recycled and PFC-free materials for its garments and produces exclusively in the EU, thus saving on transportation and conserving the planet’s resources. Lagoped acts transparently and is involved in the entire production process, from the production of the yarn to the finished jacket. Small series are produced to avoid environmentally harmful surpluses.
ISPO Gold Award – with Sympatex
Right after introducing its first Sympatex-based model, Lagoped was recognized with the ISPO Gold Award in 2019. The ski combination was made from 100 percent recycled materials. Shell and lining are made from recycled PET bottles. The membrane is also made 100 percent from Sympatex pre-consumer recycling; in other words from Sympatex membrane waste that had to be disposed of in the past. The ski jacket EVE and matching functional pants SUPA are furthermore enhanced with an environmentally-friendly, fluorocarbon-free DWR. Both products are mono-materials and are well-suited for returning back to the closed textile loop at the end of their life cycle.
