- 1806: Christoph Friedrich Ploucquet founds C. F. Ploucquet GmbH & Co. KG
- 1938: Construction and acquisition of weaving mills with up to 1,000 looms
- 1980: Further development of a cellophane covering material that had been created in the 1970s for the food industry
- 1986: Sympatex, now established as a brand, brings its first textile products onto the market featuring its blue triangle logo
- 2000: Foundation of Ploucquet Textiles Zittau GmbH
- 2001: 75% acquisition of the Sympatex shares
- 2004: 100% takeover of Sympatex Technologies
- 2006: Morgan Stanley and Annex Capital Partners take over the Ploucquet Group
- 2008: 100% takeover of Sympatex Technologies and Ploucquet Textiles Zittau GmbH by Morgan Stanley and Annex Capital
