TESTING SYMPATEX MEMBRANES

The unique non-porous Sympatex membrane is subjected to extensive and meticulous testing.

The raw material from which the membrane is constructed (a polymer) is tested for purity, moisture and viscosity before production even begins. During the manufacturing process, the Sympatex membrane is continually controlled to ensure that it has the proper thickness and weight per m², and it is also digitally monitored to identify any faults. Better safe than sorry: the production process concludes with tests to ensure that the membrane is waterproof and has the correct level of breathability.
