BIONIC FINISH ECO COATING – HIGH-TECH, FLUOROCARBON-FREE TEXTILES

Fluorocarbons have been used to make water-repellent coatings for over 30 years. However, these substances are not biodegradable! And many of the compounds in this substance class are toxic. By teaming up with Rudolf Chemie, a company specialising in bionic textile enhancement, Sympatex has found an ideal partner. Our cooperation has led to the successful combination of Sympatex laminates with the environmentally friendly Bionic Finish Eco coating technology. The results are remarkable: a product that is 100% waterproof, 100% windproof and ensures optimal breathability without environmental compromise. The world’s first fluorocarbon-free laminates that meet these demanding criteria come from Sympatex.
